Independence
We do not accept payment to change a calculatorโs result or to rank a product. We do not sell financial products, and no lender, insurer or broker influences our figures.
Sources
Priority goes to primary sources: Belastingdienst, Rijksoverheid, UWV, SVB, wetten.overheid.nl, CBS and the NHG. Where official pages are slow to publish new figures, we cross-check several established Dutch publishers (such as KVK, SRA and Grant Thornton) and note the differences we found.
How a calculator is built
- We define the question the user is trying to answer.
- We write the formula from the source rules and test it against official examples and independent calculators.
- We write the explanation with worked examples, limits and FAQs.
- We review the page for clarity and for claims we cannot support.
Updates
Tax and benefit pages are reviewed each January, after Prinsjesdag in September, and when a rule changes mid-year. Every page shows its last review date.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to us. We correct confirmed mistakes promptly and update the review date.
Use of automation
We use software tools to help draft and test content, and a human editor checks the final text, formulas and sources before publication.
